My name is Robyn Long and I love to travel, experience new surroundings and meet people. I wanted to find a way to travel and have a career.
Travel With Me Tours was conceived after I was asked to put together a budget priced holiday for myself and a couple friends. I wanted good quality accommodation and sightseeing without breaking the bank. I searched the internet and travel agencies and the only offerings I could find were either over-priced and aimed at older and wealthier retired people, or, designed for much a younger & energetic group with too many participants.
I wanted to have a truly regional experience. Shop where the locals shop, eat where the locals eat and stay in comfortable guest houses with hot and cold running water, air-conditioning and a safe and secure environment. I had a limited budget (don't we all) and wanted to see as much as I could on the time that I had.I also wanted a bit of free time so that I could go back to places that I really liked or spend an extra couple of hours there.
One of my concerns was to make sure I did not to end up imitating the "hop on hop off" mentality of the tour buses with only glimpses of the places you have come to see. When I say we see the Grand Palace, I mean we literally see it, on the ground walking around and spending quality time there, not see it from the window of the tour bus as we drive past.
How can I do the trips for such a low price?
I run these packages because I love Thailand. I love the people, the history, the culture and especially the wonderful shopping and spa service industry it has to offer.
I can share my experiences with you and show you a side to Thailand that most tourists don't get to see. I always book family owned and operated guesthouses; local, privately owned transport and where possible I stay away from the large multinational tour operators, who by nature, have to charge phenomenal amounts for tours and holidays to cover their overheads.
I have low overheads and only take a maximum of 10 guests on any one tour so I can spend your time and money wisely.
It's up to you to choose what you spend each day on food and shopping or additional massage, beauty or dental treatments. It is customary and polite to give the local traders a few extra baht for good service. You will find if you allow 100 baht per day for gratuities ($3 Aussie dollars) that this will get you a long way and also help the local family who has provided the service.
Travel Insurance is not included in the price but I can help you to organise insurance. If you can't afford travel insurance you can't afford to travel. (Approx $70 for 10 days cover and peace of mind)

All tours are offered and conducted in good faith. Some tours might need to be changed due to seasonal influences and we will endeavour to provide the best value for money if an alternative tour is required. Travel With Me Tours will not be held responsible for any tours cancelled due to unforeseen events including extreme weather and operations out of our control.
Travel insurance remains the responsibility of the travelling guest, and please note that Travel With Me Tours will not accept traveller, on any tour, who does not carry appropriate travel insurance for the duration of the trip.
